Geoff Craighead

GEOFF CRAIGHEAD is truly a global citizen. Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, he was educated at the University of Melbourne and the Australian National University; and played Australian Rules Football for South Melbourne Football Club. He worked in Arnhem Land, Northern Australia, and Hong Kong, China, before settling in the United States.

His professional career included managing field training for Allied Universal, North America’s biggest security contractor; leading ASIS International, the world’s largest organization for security management professionals; writing reference books on skyscrapers; and speaking professionally throughout the world.

And a lifelong passion for writing began.

Geoff lives with his wife, Sarah, in Portland, Oregon. They have a daughter, Searcy; a son, Pip, who serves on the pastoral staff of Door of Hope; a daughter in law, Hettie; and a grandson, Finn.

He enjoys time with his family, sport, music, reading, writing, working out, and church activities.

As a young boy he was lost on an Australian sheep station. The article he wrote about this harrowing experience was his first foray into story telling.

Geoff says the best praise a reader can give an author is when they say they gained value from the book.

He tends to write in the early morning hours when it is dark outside, and the family home is quiet and peaceful.
